Questions we hear most
If yours isn't here, call or send a message. Please leave out medical details.
Do you take my insurance?
We file claims with the dental PPO plans the owner lists on the fees page, and we are out of network with the rest. Kerri reads your plan's orthodontic benefits before your first visit.
What if I don't have insurance?
You get a written treatment fee and a payment schedule before anything starts. Financing is offered by third-party lenders, with approval and terms set by the lender.
Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP?
The practice states its status here. The owner replaces this answer with theirs.
Will it hurt?
A first check doesn't. Teeth feel sore for a few days after braces or aligners are fitted or changed, and we tell you what helps. Your child can ask us to stop at any point.
How often do you take X-rays?
Only when Dr. Aceves needs one to see something she can't see otherwise. She tells you why first.
Does my child still see our family dentist?
Yes. Cleanings and fillings stay with the family dentist. We handle the tooth movement.
How old should my child be?
Around seven is a common time for a first check, and sooner if your family dentist asks. Teens and adults are welcome too.
What counts as an emergency?
A wire that pokes, a loose bracket or a broken retainer: call us and we'll say what to do. A hard blow to the face, or trouble breathing or swallowing: call 911.
Do you offer sedation?
No. A first check and orthodontic visits don't use it. If your child is very anxious, call first and we'll plan the visit together.
Can I get a written estimate before treatment?
Yes, whenever you ask, and before treatment starts in any case.
Do you speak Spanish?
Dr. Aceves and Pedro Lomeli speak Spanish and English. This website is in English.
How do I change or cancel a visit?
Call us as early as you can, and we'll find another time.
